Elder Rev Dr. Aimee Anderson, Presiding Elder

Rev. Betty Whitted Holley, Ph.D., holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics, Bennett College, Greensboro, NC; a Master of Education degree in Mathematics, University of North Carolina, Greensboro, NC; an Educational Specialist degree, University of North Carolina,Greensboro, NC; a Master of Divinity degree, Payne Theological Seminary, Wilberforce, OH; and a Doctor of Philosophy; Ph.D., Environmental Ethics and African American ReligiousStudies, Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, OH. She serves as the Senior Presiding Elder,Ohio-South Ohio Conference, in the Columbus-Springfield-Xenia District,Third Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church; superintending thirty churches. Dr. Holley was recently appointed Academic Dean of Payne Theological Seminary for 2020-2021. She serves as the Director for the Master of Divinity Degree Program at Payne Theological Seminary, Wilberforce, Ohio and Associate Professor of Ecological Theology and African American Religious Studies.In June 2020, she was elected as an officer with Association of Theological Schools (ATS), accrediting agency for seminaries in the United States and Canada, to serve as the representative from the Board of Commissioners to the Board of Directors. In June 2017, she was appointed to serve on the Board of Commissioners for the Association for ATS. Dr. Holley also serves as a member of the Broader Social Impact Committee (BSIC),for the Smithsonian Institute of Natural History, Washington, DC.(http://humanorigins.si.edu/about/bsic). Dr. Holley serves as the African Methodist EpiscopalChurch representative fort he Board of Directors for Creation Justice Ministries, Washington D.C.
